Governor Mary Taylor Honor State Bank sent representatives to Paulding to honor the work and dedication of three people: Tony Burkley of Napa True Value, Diane Jones of the State Bank and Paulding-Putnam Electric\u2019s CEO George Carter!<br \/>\nErika Willitzer announced on Thursday, May 15th, three local recipients of a prestigious award presented by the Ohio Governor representative, Chase Eikenbary.<br \/>\nChamber President, Erika Willitzer, opened the morning by welcoming everyone, and stating how proud she is of the people she is presenting this award.<br \/>\nDiane Jones said the State Bank opened in 1979 and she has been there for the last 21 years. She stated, \u201cGiving back to the community is what this is all about.\u201d<br \/>\nGeorge Carter has been with Paulding-Putnam Electric Cooperative since 2005. He explained how PPEC is expanding its presence over in the New Haven, IN with new representation on the board from that area. The business he represents is very \u201ccommunity-oriented\u201d and that makes a difference.<br \/>\nTony Burkley grew up in Paulding County. Having been a commissioner and a business owner, he understands what it takes to make government and business work together. He now represents this area at the statehouse. With Napa\/True Value and being a representative of the people, he was honored. \u201cOne of the favorite parts of my job is interacting with customers.
