Clara M. Brown, 95, of Hicksville died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Hickory Creek of Hicksville, Hicksville.
\nShe was born on September 13, 1917 in Antwerp, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Bulich) Meyer. She was a graduate of Antwerp High School. On May 7, 1938, Clara was united in marriage with Bernard A. Brown. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2008. Clara was co-owner of Hickory Hills Golf & Country Club in Hicksville for many years. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hicksville and the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the ladies golf league and Hicksville Eagles Auxiliary.
\nSurviving Clara are four daughters: Patricia ( William) Grooms of Sarasota, FL, Diana (David) Brickel, Mary Brown, Cindy (Woody) Curry, all of Hicksville; three sons: Terry (Sharon) of Hicksville, Gary (Mary) of Englewood, FL, Michael (Carol) of Findlay, OH; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
\nShe was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Lance; and 12 siblings.
\nMass of Christian Burial for Clara was December 6, 2012 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hicksville with Father Dave Cirata officiating. Visitation was December 5, 2012 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
