OAKWOOD:<\/p>\n
Howard Lee Brown,<\/strong> age 83 died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at CHP Hospice, Defiance, Ohio.<\/p>\n He was born July 15, 1930 in Paulding, Ohio the son of Ted and Dorothy (Kelley) Brown. On May 1, 1951 he married Mary Louise Mohr, who preceded him in death on October 10, 2004. He was employed by GM Powertrain, Defiance, retiring in 1991. He attended Dupont Church of the Brethrenand was a member of the UAW #211. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed bird watching and flowers.<\/p>\n Howard is survived by a son, Mikel (Vicki) Brown, Grover Hill; two daughters: Dawn Brown and Karmel Prosser, both of Oakwood, OH; and 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.<\/p>\n He is also preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Brown; infant twin daughters; a granddaughter, Regina Prosser; a brother, Leo Brown; and a sister, Carolyn Sue Bright.<\/p>\n Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, February 6 at Dupont Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Terry Porter officiating.
