<\/a>Barbara Brown, 71<\/strong> died Monday December 30, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\nBarbara was born February 8, 1942 in Antwerp, Ohio the daughter of the late Wendell and Nellie (Billman) Savage.<\/p>\n
She was a 1960 graduate of Antwerp High School.<\/p>\n
On February 24, 1962 she was united in marriage to Richard Brown.<\/p>\n
Barbara was employed for 10 years at the Hicksville Building Loan and Savings retiring in 1985.<\/p>\n
She was a Golden Eagle member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie #2556, an active member of the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and served as a Bargain Box volunteer. Barbara loved laughing and playing cards and Scrabble with her family and friends. She was a talented cross stitch artist, a competitive mushroom hunter and an avid fisherwoman.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her husband Richard of Hicksville; three daughters, Renee (Missy Edwards) Brown, Toni Brown and Tammy (Jeff) Cover all of Ft. Wayne; a son Scott (Maureen) of Land O Lakes, Florida; six grandchildren, Marissa, Emma and Shelby Cover and Leah, Reece and Joe Edwards; a brother Lynn Savage and her little dog Pixie.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by a grandson Jacob Cover, a sister Carole Dunderman, a brother Rex (Pete) Savage and her parents.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be Friday from 1:00-5:00 and 5:00-8:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. An Eagles Auxiliary Service will be at 5:00. The funeral service is at the funeral home Saturday at 11:00. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.<\/p>\n
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.<\/p>\n
