For those of us in ministry, we sometimes find ourselves getting a little weary. Serving God\u2019s people can wear you down. I often find that when I get weary, it\u2019s usually due to a few factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. A lack of quality time in God\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. A lack of quality time in God\u2019s word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. A lack of quality time in prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Physical deterioration. (old age)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without the first three attributes, you may find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time, assigned to the wrong task. There\u2019s nothing worse than being out of sync with the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First things first, Matthew 6:33 (NIV) states, \u201cBut seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This verse emphasizes the importance of prioritizing our relationship with God and living according to His will. Jesus encourages His listeners not to worry about material needs such as food and clothing, because God knows what we need before we need it. By seeking God\u2019s kingdom and righteousness first, we align our lives with His purposes and, in doing so, can trust that He will provide for our needs and keep us in the right place, with the right spirit. It reminds us to keep our focus on spiritual matters rather than being consumed by worldly concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes weariness comes from the fourth one mentioned. Physical deterioration. (old age) smile. Or not. The scripture below encourages me when I struggle with weariness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Corinthians 4:16 (NIV): \u201cTherefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This verse emphasizes the importance of perspective in the face of challenges and the inevitable aging process. While our physical bodies may experience decline and difficulties, Paul encourages believers to focus on the inner spiritual renewal that comes through faith and reliance on God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This renewal offers hope and strength, reminding us that spiritual growth and resilience can thrive even amid physical struggles. It inspires perseverance, encouraging us not to be discouraged by temporary hardships, but to find hope in the constant renewal of our spiritual lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knowing that one fine day, we will take off this old self and put on the new self, being transformed from mortality to immortality, from corruptible to incorruptible. So be not weary in well doing, for in due season, ye shall reap if you faint not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
