Funding for the project was provided through the Hanna Family Memorial Fund under the Defiance Area Foundation umbrella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The grant will support Project Home Plate at Moats Park, a community-led initiative focused on revitalizing Sherwood&#8217;s primary youth sports complex and securing land for future park expansion. Planned improvements include upgrades to concession stands, restrooms, playground equipment, and other park amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project is designed to enhance recreational opportunities for local youth and families while ensuring that Moats Park continues to serve as a valuable community gathering space for years to
