With the top four finishers in each weight class earning automatic advancement to the District Tournament, several local athletes secured their postseason spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Three county wrestlers claimed sectional titles: Karsyn Troth of Wayne Trace, and Cami McAlexander and Maddilan Doster, both representing Antwerp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"666\" height=\"438\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Antwerp-girls-wrestling-sectional-McAlexander-photo-carrie-kimmel.jpeg?fit=666%2C438&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50455\" style=\"width:450px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Antwerp&#8217;s Cami McAlexander notches 2 wins to take her spot at the Districts competition. She opened with a 55\u2011second fall over Teriyah Mays (Whitmer), followed by a 1:22 pin of Bella Legere (Elida) in the quarterfinals. Troth continued her momentum with a 1:05 semifinal pin against Jayde Westemeyer (Delta) before closing out the championship with a dominant 17\u20111 technical fall to Savannah Mulkey, nonetheless securing her spot in next week&#8217;s Districts competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">McAlexander earned her championship after a first\u2011round bye, needing only 19 seconds to pin Alyska Brown (Montpelier) in her first match. After a bye, she rolled to a 16\u20110 technical fall over Ki\u2019Niah Ransom (Woodmore) and then defeated Madyson Smith (Montpelier) 14\u20115 in the championship match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"666\" height=\"562\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Paulding-Girls-Wrestling-Civil.jpeg?fit=666%2C562&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50457\" style=\"width:450px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Paulding&#8217;s Civil Pumphrey battled and took the runner-up spot in the 125lb division. She will compete at Districts next week! Photo by Rustic Comfort Photography<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Paulding\u2019s Civil Pumphrey reached the finals at 125 pounds and finished as runner\u2011up. Pumphrey pinned Lily Hunt (Delta) in 1:01 and shut out Payton Geiner (Bryan) 12\u20110 in the semifinals before falling to Isabela Jordan (Defiance) by pin in the championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Additional district qualifiers included Katelynn Bauer of Wayne Trace, who placed fourth at 135 pounds, and Teagen Eaton of Antwerp, who finished fourth at 235 pounds. Fifth\u2011place alternates were Miracle Omonayin of Paulding (135 pounds) and Aries Ricker of Wayne Trace (155 pounds). Harley Troyer of Paulding earned sixth place at 145 pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">District competition is set for March 8<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;at Findlay High School.
