The Paulding Kiwanis Club welcomed Jesse Martin of The Nature Conservancy and Anna Gurney of Paulding Soil & Water Conservation District as guest speakers at its recent meeting. Both guests attended at the invitation of Kiwanis member Jane Gray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin shared an overview of the Black Swamp Nature Center Wetland Restoration Project, which is being made possible through grant funding. His presentation highlighted current invasive plant species affecting the area and outlined plans to restore the wetland using native plant species, along with several additional environmental improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community meetings will be scheduled in the future to provide more information about the project and offer opportunities for public input. The goal is to begin the restoration project in 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
