Honorary Citizens at this event were Mildred and Alvin Phillips.&nbsp; Mildred had assisted Dorothy Chester with writing a book about the history of Latty for the Bicentennial in 1981.&nbsp; Since over 40 years had elapsed since the original book had been printed, copies of&nbsp;The Latty History 1881-1981 were made available at the festival. Proceeds from the book sales and some donations were given to upgrade the Latty park area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A check for $1335.69 was given to Latty Council members at their meeting for the Latty Youth Foundation.
