{"id":49856,"date":"2025-12-25T18:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-25T23:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/?p=49856"},"modified":"2025-12-22T13:09:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T18:09:28","slug":"secretary-larose-launches-multi-state-election-integrity-network-called-elexa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/secretary-larose-launches-multi-state-election-integrity-network-called-elexa\/","title":{"rendered":"SECRETARY LAROSE LAUNCHES MULTI-STATE ELECTION INTEGRITY NETWORK CALLED \u2018ELEXA\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"666\" height=\"447\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/EleXa-Agreement-Signing.jpg?fit=666%2C447&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49857\" style=\"width:450px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced today the creation of a new, multi-state election integrity network known as EleXa, a national coalition formed to exchange election records for use in identifying illegal voting activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\u201cElection integrity will always be our top priority, and that starts with our duty under the law to maintain accurate voter rolls,\u201d said Secretary LaRose. \u201cThese data-sharing agreements allow Ohio to work with our colleagues in other states to identify people who try to vote illegally, often by having more than one active voter registration and then casting multiple ballots in the same election.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The name of the project, EleXa, is a nod to \u201celection administration,\u201d with a symbolic \u2018X\u2019 representing the removal of illegal or ineligible voters identified through formal cross-state election data sharing agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">So far, Ohio has signed voter list sharing agreements with secretaries of state in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia, and Pennsylvania is finalizing an agreement. The agreements will enable Ohio to maintain more accurate voter rolls by removing out-of-state voters, and better prevent and detect multi-state voting.
