From a Christian standpoint, wrath is one of the seven deadly sins, often viewed as an intense, uncontrollable feeling of anger and hatred. It goes beyond mere irritation or annoyance, manifesting as a desire for vengeance and retribution against those who have wronged us. This emotion can lead to sinful actions, such as violence and cruelty, social prejudice and is reciprocated by a failure to trust in God’s justice. Consequently, the spirit of wrath blocks you from experiencing the love of God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Bible, wrath is frequently associated with God’s judgment, but human wrath is warned against, as it can lead to destruction and separation from God. Christians are encouraged to practice forgiveness, patience, and love, even in the face of wrongdoing, reflecting the character of Christ rather than succumbing to destructive anger, which is not of God. One of the central problems of the world today is that everyone is trying to impose their own form of wrath and judgment. Remember, we must leave room for God’s wrath and judgment. God will repay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galatians 5:19-25 (NIV)  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romans 12:17-21 (NIV)  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God\u2019s wrath, for it is written: \u201cIt is mine to avenge; I will repay,\u201d says the Lord. On the contrary: \u201cIf your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.\u201d Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are holding on to anger and old resentments, here’s a proven remedy.  Try praying for the person or persons earnestly for seven days. Pray that God would bless them with the exact blessings that you desire for your life. I can almost guarantee that if you follow this suggestion, your resentment and wrath will disappear. Let me know how it turns out\u2026 I’ll be praying for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
