WAUSEON \u2014 The Wayne Trace Lady Raiders capped off a stellar girls golf season by capturing the 2025 Green Meadows Conference (GMC) championship on September 16 at Ironwood Golf Course. Behind consistent scoring and depth throughout the lineup, the Raiders posted a team score of 389, edging out Tinora by four strokes to secure the top spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading the charge for Wayne Trace was senior Raegan McGarvey, who turned in rounds of 44 and 48 for a total of 92. Her strong finish not only helped lift her team to victory but also earned her the prestigious title of GMC Player of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fellow Raider Ella Crosby, a junior, matched McGarvey\u2019s total with her own 92 (45-47), reinforcing the strength at the top of Wayne Trace\u2019s roster. Seniors Ryann Jay (100) and Olivia Baughman (115), along with junior Isabelle O\u2019Shaughnessey (105), rounded out the scoring for head coach Jeremy Daeger\u2019s balanced squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second-place Tinora finished close behind with a team total of 393. Senior Adelaida Gill led the Rams with the tournament\u2019s low round of 89 (42-47), followed by Marisa Raimonde (98) and freshman Lylah Backhaus (102).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayersville secured third place at 435, paced by consistent play from Danniella Coble (104), Avery Antoine (110), and Hannah Altstaetter (110).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulding took fourth with a team score of 443. Senior Delaney Dachenhaus shot a solid 100 (49-51), while senior teammate Makayla Carr added a 108.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antwerp and Hicksville both finished tied at 453, with Madison Schmidt (107) and Lyla Clem (108) leading the way for the Lady Archers. Hicksville\u2019s top scorer was senior Aleyah Keeley, who posted an impressive 97 (49-48).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edgerton rounded out the team standings with a 459, as senior Jaden Dietsch led the Bulldogs with a 95 (50-45), one of the day\u2019s top individual performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fairview competed with an incomplete roster, with Camryn Whitaker (102) turning in the top round for the Apaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament brought the GMC season to a thrilling close, with Raegan McGarvey\u2019s consistent excellence throughout the year culminating in a well-deserved Player of the Year honor \u2014 a fitting capstone to her senior campaign.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
