Paulding, Ohio \u2013 Mid\u2011June 2025 \u2013 The 2025 Paulding County 4\u2011H Fair wrapped up an exciting week of competition, learning, and celebration as youth from across the county demonstrated excellence in a variety of disciplines\u2014from nutrition and sewing to livestock showmanship and equestrian performance. This year\u2019s fair not only honored tradition but also highlighted the bright future of Paulding County\u2019s next generation of leaders and agricultural innovators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fair opened with Food & Nutrition Project Awards on Monday, June 9. Caroline Miller<\/strong> earned first place in the beginner division with her \u201cEveryday Food & Fitness\u201d project, while Kendra Manz<\/strong> claimed second place and also took top honors in the \u201cSnack Attack!\u201d class. Sophie Kessler<\/strong> impressed in \u201cTake a Break for Breakfast,\u201d and Owen Dangler led in \u201cLet\u2019s Start Cooking.\u201d Intermediate winners included Emma Miller\u2011White<\/strong> for \u201cSports Nutrition\u201d and Krandon Crites<\/strong> for \u201cLet\u2019s Bake Quick Breads.\u201d In the advanced category, Emma Stouffer<\/strong> received first place for \u201cCooking on My Own,\u201d and Alexandria Manz<\/strong> earned second with her \u201cGlobal Gourmet\u201d project. The prestigious John & Bernadyne Rogers Nutrition Award was presented to Gracelyn Miller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following day\u2019s Clothing Project Awards on June 10 saw Anabelle Saylor<\/strong> take home the Bernadyne Rogers Memorial Award. Aubrey Manz<\/strong> earned both a class win for \u201cTerrific Tops\u201d and top honors as the beginner clothing champion. In intermediate categories, Brianna McClure<\/strong> won with her \u201cLoungewear\u201d creation. Other standouts included Makenzie Muir<\/strong> in \u201cReady, Set, Sew Active!\u201d and Isabelle Schlatter<\/strong> in \u201cShopping Savvy.\u201d State Fair qualifiers from both the nutrition and clothing divisions included Anabelle Saylor<\/strong>, Aubrey Manz<\/strong>, Makenzie Muir<\/strong>, Brianna McClure<\/strong>, Isabelle Schlatter<\/strong>, and several others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Livestock events brought strong showings throughout the week. At the goat show, Hudson Miller<\/strong> was named Grand Champion Dairy Goat, with Allison Donaldson<\/strong> taking Reserve Champion and later earning Reserve Champion Breeding Goat as well. Jocelynn Parrett<\/strong> secured Grand Champion Market Goat, while Janae Parrett<\/strong> took reserve and swept two wether classes. In the rabbit show, Clayton Manz<\/strong> won Champion of Champion Showmanship. Wyatt Wilhelm<\/strong> dominated multiple classes, including Grand Champion 4 Class, Best of Show Breeding Rabbit, and Best Opposite 4 Class. Harley Troyer<\/strong> earned Grand Champion 6 Class and Best Opposite Breeding Rabbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dog show exhibitors also shone brightly. Chloe Trausch<\/strong> was named High Point Showmanship winner, and Faith Jacobs<\/strong> secured High Point Obedience. Notable winners included Brianna McClure<\/strong>, Addison Clemens<\/strong>, Gabrielle Gurney<\/strong>, and Elizabeth Graham<\/strong> across showmanship and obedience classes. In rally events, Brianna McClure<\/strong> and Chloe Trausch<\/strong> led Novice B, while Elizabeth Graham<\/strong> won Rally Intermediate A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swine showmanship capped off a highly competitive week, with Hannah Griffiths<\/strong> named Champion of Champion Showmanship and Reserve Champion Market Hog. Ronan Phlipot<\/strong> earned Grand Champion Market Hog and secured top placements in multiple hog classes. Other first-place finishers included Jordan Steel<\/strong>, Mara Phlipot<\/strong>, Garrett Goyings<\/strong>, and Tucker <\/strong>and Bristyl Stoller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equestrian events stood out as a major highlight of the fair. In Horse Showmanship, Delaney Johanns<\/strong> was crowned Champion of Champion, and Adelynne Slattman<\/strong> took Reserve. Senior ranch showmanship winners included Raeley Franklin<\/strong> and Gabrielle Gurney<\/strong>. Junior division top spots were earned by Luciana Martinez<\/strong> and Henley Wagner<\/strong>, while Ellie Roughton<\/strong> made strong showings in multiple classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horse Pleasure and Performance events included standout performances from Delaney Johanns<\/strong>, who captured first place in Senior Ranch Riding, Senior Reining, and Senior Hunter Under Saddle. Johanns also claimed the top Equitation Horse\/Pony prize and placed second in the highly contested Versatility competition. Mara Phlipot<\/strong> took home Champion of Champion Pleasure, Champion of Champion Performance, and first place in the Versatility division, along with strong finishes in Snaffle Bit Pleasure, Open Longe Line, and Senior Western Horsemanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luciana Martinez<\/strong> showed exceptional poise with firsts in Junior Trail, Pony Pleasure, and Junior Ranch Riding, while also securing top-three placements in horsemanship and pleasure categories. Gabrielle Gurney<\/strong>, Henley Wagner<\/strong>, Gracelyn Elkins<\/strong>, and Makenzie Muir<\/strong> also delivered top performances across ground roping, trail, ranch, and English divisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brynlee Stoller<\/strong> emerged as a top competitor in Open Longe Line, Junior Ranch Pleasure, and Junior Ranch Horsemanship, while Gracelyn Elkins<\/strong> impressed in multiple English and Western classes including Junior Hunter Under Saddle and Junior Ranch Pleasure. Rounding out the week, youth from every barn and arena earned recognition not only for their skills, but for their dedication, preparation, and the care shown toward their animals and projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 Paulding County 4\u2011H Fair once again served as a testament to the vibrant spirit and work ethic of its participants.
