The funding will support a new initiative titled Kinship Lantern of Hope, designed to assist kinship families in Defiance County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Kinship families are those where grandparents or relatives step in to raise children due to challenging circumstances. So far, the program has already served 71 children, with the goal of reaching 75 families through direct support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Children\u2019s Lantern leaders expressed gratitude for the support, noting the growing need in the community.
