On March 19 A resident requested assistance with unlocking their vehicle. An officer responded and successfully unlocked it. On the same day, an officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign located at Canal and Kroos. The driver was cited for the stop sign violation as well as for driving without a valid license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 20 A report was made regarding a vehicle that had been left at a residence for over a year and was now missing. The situation was investigated, and the vehicle was ultimately reported as stolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 21 A resident reported that their child had been assaulted while on a school bus. The officer contacted the school resource officer for assistance in the investigation. Later that day, in a different matter, another resident reported they were being evicted on Sunday and stated that the owner of the apartment had remarked that they \u201cshould have got rid of him a long time ago.\u201d The tenant requested that a report be made regarding the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 22 the police department was contacted in reference to pit bulls running at large around Frank Leonard Parkway. An officer responded, but was unable to locate any dogs. A separate report in another matter was made by a resident who stated that they had been scammed out of money through Facebook Messenger. The officer investigated the situation and prepared a report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 24 a domestic dispute was reported at 103 Frank Leinard Parkway. An officer responded, prepared a report, and referred the case to the prosecutor\u2019s office. In a different case, a vehicle was stopped on River Street near Wentworth for traveling 66 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone. The driver was cited for both speeding and not having a driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 26 the police department assisted Antwerp EMS with a call for an individual experiencing a diabetic episode. Also on this date, a resident requested a golf cart inspection, which was completed by an officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 27 a resident of Buffalo Street reported that their neighbor was violating a zoning ordinance. The individual was advised to contact the zoning inspector or the village administrator. Later that day, a resident of Stone Street requested a copy of an incident report. The report was printed for the individual, but as of April 2, it had not yet been picked up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 28 the police department received a request for a welfare check on an elderly resident. An officer responded and verified the individual\u2019s wellbeing. A protection order was also received from the Paulding Court of Common Pleas concerning a village resident. In a separate incident, the department was contacted about a group of unruly juveniles. The officer responded and investigated the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 29 a call was made to the department regarding an individual making suicidal threats. An officer responded to assist and the individual was transported to the hospital. In a separate issue, a report was forwarded by an officer to Job and Family Services for review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 31 an officer was contacted for assistance in unlocking a vehicle. The officer went to the residence and successfully unlocked it. On the same day, a resident called from Dollar General stating that they had locked their keys in their vehicle. An officer responded and was able to unlock the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
