Just a reminder if you follow High School Basketball you can get all the tournament scores every night on my Facebook Live scoreboard, Ohio Sports Blitz. I take pride in bringing you as many scores as I can at 10PM. Local, regional and state powerhouse schools are in my coverage. I also cover ECHL Hockey, NHL, NBA, and NCAA Men\u2019s hoops. If you miss 10PM I leave the video up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recently heard from Jim Davidson my Supermodified source. The Gilmore Lecture Series, in Hickory Corners MI are bringing in three fantastic speakers and drivers on Sunday, March 2nd. Many open wheel fans know the name Jeff Bloom. He is a three time winner of the Little 500. He will be talking about a variety of topics from his open wheel career, including the most memorable in his seven decades of racing. Jeff is also in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second featured speaker is Mike (Hollywood) McVetta the 2023 ISMA\/MSS Supermodified Champion. He\u2019s had his share of feature wins over the years in Supers and Sprints. Mike is employed at Aeronautics and Space Administration. His day occupation is mechanical engineer. His talk and audience questions and answers will focus on \u201cSupermodifieds and the radical off-set chassis design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last speaker is Brad Hayes of (BHR). He has a long history as a driver and car builder. He\u2019s the owner of the Kenyon Midget Series. Brad will talk about the history and affordability and entry level appeal of the Kenyon Midget Series. He will have a Kenyon Midget car on display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was just announced that Hunter Lynch will be driving the Luke Lemons USAC Thunder Midget for several races this year. Area racing promoter Larry Boos announced his retirement last week. Larry has promoted many races including the Rumble in Fort Wayne, Waynesfield Raceway Park, Gas City and Winchester Speedway just to mention a few tracks. Effective now, Rich and Shelly Farmer will be taking over the operation at Waynesfield Raceway Park. The Farmers also are the promoters at Fremont Speedway. They will soon post the 2025 Waynesfield schedule. Waynesfield will be special events only from what I\u2019m hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
