Changing Footprints recently achieved an impressive milestone, collecting 291 pairs of shoes from 14 drop-off bins located throughout Allen County in a single week. These shoes were paired, counted, and transported to the organization\u2019s \u201cshoe shed\u201d in New Haven, where they were sorted into 42 categories. Each pair was then packed into labeled banana boxes and stored for distribution to social service agencies across northern Indiana, free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collection bins are conveniently placed at various locations, including Allen County Library branches, YMCA facilities, Indiana Physical Therapy locations, Steppin\u2019 Up Physical Therapy sites, the Fort Wayne Community Center, the Hoagland Post Office, Roberts Shoes, and Pro-Line and the Fitness Center in New Haven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Changing Footprints distributed over 36,000 pairs of shoes to assist the poor and homeless. The organization emphasizes that all types and conditions of shoes are welcome for donation, as every pair can make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
