Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative (PPEC) has experienced remarkable growth in 2024, positioning itself for a stronger future as it prepares for the multi-year deployment of high-speed fiber internet service in late 2025. This growth has been driven by a dedicated investment in leadership, local workforce development, and member-focused initiatives that improve quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn 2024, we\u2019ve laid the groundwork for an exciting future,\u201d said PPEC President and CEO Randy Price. \u201cFrom recruiting and promoting top local talent to refining our culture and services, we are laser-focused on delivering value to our members. \u2022 Nick Eltzroth (Fort Wayne, IN): Promoted to Chief Operating Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Stacy Morrison (Defiance, OH): Promoted to Director of HR and Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Rob Weisenburger (Oakwood, OH): Promoted to Engineering Supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 John McMaster (Paulding, OH): Promoted to Line Supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Hires:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Renee Hull (Cecil, OH): Chief Financial Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Chris (C.J.) Gaskill (Defiance, OH): Broadband OSP Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Jeff Noggle (Fort Wayne, IN): GIS Technician.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 David Taylor (Hicksville, OH): Apprentice Lineman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Austin Wisner (Cloverdale, OH): Lineman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Zak Kauser (Paulding, OH): Took on the role of Staking Technician and is completing additional training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Barb Rife (Paulding, OH): Transitioned to Engineering and Operations Coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Adam Drummelsmith (Leipsic, OH) and Mike Taylor (Paulding, OH): Graduated from the Central Ohio Lineworker Training (COLT) program, becoming journeyman linemen. This hands-on coursework took four years to complete with on-the-job training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Josh Smith (Antwerp, OH): Assumed the role of Warehouse Coordinator, assisting with inventory management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Peter Niagu (Payne, OH): Transitioned to Business Development & Key Accounts Coordinator, managing economic development, renewable energy, and energy advising. Niagu recently earned his Certified Key Account Executive certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Jamie Mericle (Paulding, OH): Added accounts payable duties to her role, which includes member service. She also won the second quarter 2024 Rockstar Award, PPEC\u2019s internal staff recognition trophy for employees who go above and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Maddy Lamb (Van Wert, OH): Transitioned from part-time to full-time Marketing Specialist, expanding her duties to include youth programs and cross-training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
