The Wayne Trace Raiders put on a commanding performance Thursday night to ring in 2025, defeating the Paulding Panthers 50-19 in a cross-county basketball showdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Raiders\u2019 balanced attack was led by Caroline Winans, who poured in 16 points, including three three-pointers. Moore also made her presence felt with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, controlling the paint on both ends. Wayne Trace\u2019s bench contributed effectively as well, with K Stoller and A Stoller each adding five points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulding struggled offensively throughout the game, managing just one double-digit quarter and going scoreless in the fourth. B Schlatter led the Panthers with five points, including their lone three-pointer of the night, while Bakle and T Schlatter added four points each. The team\u2019s top rebounder, E Dunham, grabbed five boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayne Trace\u2019s defensive pressure forced 19 turnovers, and the Raiders capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 15 of 22 attempts compared to Paulding\u2019s 4 of 8. The Raiders also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Panthers 37-26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game\u2019s pivotal stretch came in the second quarter, when Wayne Trace erupted for 19 points, outscoring Paulding by 16 to build a commanding 31-12 halftime lead. From there, the Raiders maintained control, allowing just seven points in the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayne Trace also found success from beyond the arc, hitting six three-pointers, with Winans accounting for three and Sinn adding one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the win, Wayne Trace improves its record and strengthens its position in the conference race, while Paulding continues to search for consistency on both ends of the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
