Tied at three quarters, the Antwerp Archers scored eleven of fourteen fourth quarter points to post a 40-32 victory over Hicksville in the consolation game of the Route 49 Boys Basketball Classic at Antwerp High School Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the red and white who struck first, posting a slim 8-7 lead at the end of eight minutes of action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarter number two saw Antwerp picked up ten points compared to eight for the Aces, giving the blue and white a 17-16 lead at the midway point of the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the third period, it was Hicksville who outscored the Archers 13-12 to knot up the contest at 29-29 entering the final period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antwerp then dominated the fourth quarter as the Archers scored eleven of the fourteen points in the period to wrap up the 40-32 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Archers were led in the scoring column by Zaine McMichael with 18 points while Drew Eaken chipped in eight markers for Antwerp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Archers finding the scoring column were Tavin Sholl (five), Keegan Gray-Wyckoff (four), Hampton Rogge (three) and Weston Rhonehouse (two).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garrett Turnbull was the lone Hicksville player to reach double figures, scoring eleven markers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jayden Rosales and Jesus Avalos both chipped in nine markers for the Aces while Paxton Yoder posted two and Bronson Graber picked up a free throw.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
