An effort to provide transitional sober housing is underway in Paulding County. \u201cReclaimed Living\u201d is a court-supported and faith-based group whose mission is to provide supportive, safe, and temporary housing for local residents struggling with substance abuse, and give them resources to reclaim their lives and become the people God created them to be for themselves and those who love them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the spring of 2024, an organizational board of six individuals was formed to explore the establishment of a home where persons under Paulding County judicial supervision can temporarily live in an alcohol and drug-free environment. The board is striving to provide a professionally staffed home with peer support where residents can develop and execute individualized recovery action plans, become employed, and repair relationships with their families. A property in Jackson Township has been secured to fulfill this mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the home is running, the organizational board will transition into an operational one. Funds for this endeavor are being accepted through the Paulding County Area Foundation. Tax deductible donations can be made to the Paulding County Area Foundation with \u201cReclaimed Living\u201d on the memo line and mailed to 101 E. Perry Street, Paulding, Ohio 45879.
