Judy Hook is an independent consultant and owner of Ageless Reflexology LLC located in Hicksville, Ohio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judy\u2019s business began as she was searching for ways to support her health naturally which had become a priority for her. After walking through cancer with both of her parents and having her own health issues through the year, she is learning that we are gifted with a body from our Heavenly Father that was designed to heal itself if we find and use the right tools and information. \u201cIt is important to be our own advocate and educate ourselves,\u201d says Judy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judy has been educating on essential oils for the past 10 years.  She still loves working with clients and educating them about oils but when felt there was still something more out there for her.  She began searching to learn more about reflexology.  Reflexology is a very old modality and there is not a lot of awareness about it still today.  She finds it fascinating that just by working on the hands or feet our overall well-being can improve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas on the hands, feet and outer ears that correspond to all of the organs, gland and parts of the body. Reflexology is not massage but a unique method of using the thumb and fingers on the reflex areas to stimulate blood flow and circulation to assist the body in functioning optimally. For example, our feet have over 8000 nerve endings so it is no wonder that reflexology is so good for us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the United Kingdom, it is practiced in most cancer centers as they have found great value in the benefits of reflexology for their cancer patients for stress, anxiety and decreased pain<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judy travelled to Worthington, OH for her reflexology schooling over a period of 5 months, spending her weekends there in class.  She felt that in person schooling would give her a solid hands on experience plus she was able to have her own feet worked on during class time as well.  (Bonus)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Eliminate toxins from the body<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clients have found that they have experienced the most benefit when they see Judy on a regular basis.  She sees people weekly and some monthly depending on the clients\u2019 needs and circumstances. Reflexology is considered safe for all ages from birth on up.  After a session clients may find increased energy, improved sleep, improved mental clarity and more.  Some clients have said they feel like they are floating and feel very light. You will want to increase you hydration following a session as this is when the body begins to detox over the next few days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each session is tailored to meet the clients\u2019 needs at the time.  Clients come in for their session wearing comfortable clothing.  Only shoes and socks are removed for the session.  Judy has a massage table with wedges to support the back and under the legs to put the client in the most comfortable position possible.  Judy also has a short intake form that helps her to assess clients\u2019 needs. Some clients may want to talk during their session while others may want to relax and sleep. Judy encourages the rest time as this is when the body can restore itself. Sessions typically las 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I see the changes in my clients from when they arrive and after their session, I know my work is helping them,\u201d says Judy.   This is what keeps Judy passionate and engaged in what she does. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
