For over 50 years each October, the Latty Community and surrounding area has generously donated money during Friends United Methodist Church\u2019s annual \u201cTrick or Treat\/Harvest Soup Supper.\u201d  This year it will be an \u201cEat In\u201d <\/strong>or \u201cDrive-Thru\u201d <\/strong>event on Sunday, October 27, 2024<\/strong> from 4:30 pm <\/strong>to 6:00 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cTrick or Treating\u201d event is not your typical candy hand-out, but an opportunity to donate to the Caring and Sharing Food Pantry serving all of Paulding County. Not only will your Freewill Donation be given to the local food pantry, it will be doubled!!  Latty Friends UMC matches dollar for dollar, your food pantry donation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While contributing to feed needy children in the community, you are welcome to join in our FREE \u201cHarvest Soup Supper.\u201d  (The soup represents all the good things from our gardens-or grocery store-cooked together in one pot all afternoon.) In addition to homemade beef vegetable soup with crackers\/cornbread there will be shredded chicken, sloppy joe, hot dogs or chili dog sandwiches, plus cookies, brownies, caramel corn, and candy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone attending can get their FREE meal by dining in or we also offer carry-out meals with a bowl of delicious homemade beef vegetable soup and choice of sandwiches plus all the trimmings! And Children (especially those in costume) will get a bag of \u201ctreats.\u201d   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please join us at 331 Lewis Street, Latty, Ohio for an afternoon of fellowship while also assisting families in our community!\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
