The men of the Davis Indiana Territorial Rangers will be on garrison duty at The Old Fort on Spy Run Avenue, Saturday thru Sunday, October 12-13, 2024. Experience living history this weekend as you step into the War of 1812. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Portal to the Past<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn the history of the Indiana Rangers program and their historical connection to Fort Wayne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors can talk with the Rangers about their tactics and gear.  A scouting unit will carry out a recon mission. The Rangers will be participating in daily drills and activities amid the War of 1812.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immersive and Interactive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The historic ambiance of The Old Fort provides a perfect backdrop for this event. Families and history enthusiasts can explore the buildings of the fort and interact with the reenactors, civilians, and local artisans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
