Members of the Antwerp\/Payne\/Paulding County Community Improvement Corporation held a team building event including a strategic planning session in Antwerp on March 5th. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estee Miller with the Maumee Valley Planning Organization, and current CIC board member, led the meeting of nine members of the CIC board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussion centered around the creation of a Mission and Vision statement and a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis.   Goals were identified for the current year and for the next 3-5 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Priorities were divided into three categories: Development, Quality of Life, and Organizational.  The group then identified points in each category.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Development:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Empty store fronts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Assets and transportation\u2014rail and highway<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Affordable housing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Working with stakeholders to identify properties<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality of Life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Fresher food options<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Assets-River<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Tourism- Ag flows<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizational:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Establish active committees<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 External communication<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 County profile<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mission Statement- To improve our communities through promoting a positive business culture. Assisting with commercial, industrial, civic and residential development and advancing the quality of life for residents and visitors to Paulding County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vision Statement- A clean, safe, prosperous community where people want to live, work and play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group meets bi-monthly and will continue to discuss and act on projects that have the potential to move Paulding County forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
