WESTERN BUCKEYE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER GOVERNING BOARD MEETING Minutes 9\/11\/13<\/p>\n
The Western Buckeye ESC Governing Board held its regular monthly Board meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September, 2013 at the Van Wert ESC office. Board President Mr. Nick Miller welcomed Board members and school personnel to the meeting.<\/p>\n
Treasurer Gary Ginter reviewed the current financial reports, investments and the monthly expenditures with the Board.<\/p>\n
Superintendent Brian Gerber updated the Board on personnel items.<\/p>\n
Consent Items \u2013 WBESC:<\/p>\n
A. Motion to extend a one (1) year limited contract to Jessica Wishmeyer as \u00bd Intervention Teacher and \u00bd Paraprofessional at Lincolnview, effective for the 2013-2014 school year, salary and benefits as presented, Masters Degree with 0 years experience.<\/p>\n
B. Motion to extend a one (1) year limited contract to Amanda McDorman as a one-on-one Paraprofessional at Antwerp for the 2013-2014 school year, salary and benefits as presented, one (1) year experience.<\/p>\n
C. Motion to extend a one (1) year limited contract to Cheryl Mongold as a part-time by timesheet (2.0 hours\/day) one-on-one Paraprofessional at Lincolnview, effective September 4, 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year, salary and benefits as presented, 0 years experience.<\/p>\n
D. Motion to increase the working hours for Paraprofessionals at Antwerp Local Schools from 6.5 hours per day to 7.0 hours per day for the 2013-2014 school year per the request of Antwerp Local Schools. Salaries to be increased accordingly.<\/p>\n
E. Motion to approve out of state travel to attend the Sensory Diets for Children and Teens workshop in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 23-24, 2013. Those attending are: Angie Bonifas, Nicole Jefferson, Heather Matthews, Jeana Fisher, Marge Greve and Laura Priest.<\/p>\n
F. Motion to employ Pamela Williamson as a Long-term sub teacher at Antwerp at the sub rate of $80.00 per day beginning August 19, 2013.<\/p>\n
The Board meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. with no additional Board action. The next regular Governing Board meeting of the Western Buckeye Educational Service Center will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Paulding ESC office.<\/p>\n
