Through  my own life and even today, I make plans, hoping that my event will be great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This past week has brought me not only a sense of disappointment but one of better understanding of life\u2019s ups and downs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of my readers may know me and that I have played piano since I was 7.  I am not saying I am an accomplished pianist but one that simply sits down and plays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had some gigs lined up for over Valentine\u2019s day and they were located probably 30 miles away.  I ordered me some black sparkly jeans and thought I would dress up with a tuxedo look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had also purchased Johnny Cash tickets for Sunday so I was excited and happy and looking forward to the week end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weekend prior to Valentine\u2019s day I started feeling nasty. I was battling a chest cold and almost pneumonia. I got meds from the doctor, but by the next day I was totally down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got very weak and then  called the EMS.  It was quite a job getting me into  the EMS van and I felt a huge sense of  fear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One I arrived on the scene, nurses and medics worked on me and it was discovered I was bleeding internally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the days seemed to go by, I still had hopes of playing my gigs  I was not allowed any food for about 3 days and when I did get a liquid diet, broth never tasted so good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After some testing it was determined I had bleeding ulcers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving home from the hospital, was a Tuesday and even though I could barely move, I thought I was going to play my gigs and shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well here comes Friday and cold weather, wind and snow.  No way I was going out so a cancellation was done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday was more of the same weather and I saw my plans all fall by the wayside.  To make this story short I cried because of losing my gigs, but soon a voice came to me and said \u201cYou lost your gigs, but I saved your life\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I then knew that God protects us and these little things don\u2019t matter. It is the opportunity to live which counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
