Jeann\u00e9 Wickens, senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for Parkview Health, has been named Top Honoree in the Indianapolis Business Journal\u2019s annual CFO of the Year awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wickens was one of three honorees in the large not-for-profit category. She was named Top Honoree for the category and featured in a special edition of the Indianapolis Business Journal on Friday, Dec. 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wickens has been with Parkview Health since 2016, bringing her financial leadership to Parkview\u2019s network of hospitals and physician offices in 22 counties in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThrough times of great growth and times of great turmoil during the pandemic, Jeann\u00e9 has been a steady force guiding Parkview these past seven years,\u201d said Rick Henvey, chief executive officer, Parkview Health. \u201cI\u2019ve worked closely with Jeann\u00e9 since she arrived at Parkview and her financial leadership has allowed our system to continue to accomplish its strategic goals of expanding high-quality care to our region, increasing value for our both providers and patients, and building and maintaining a world-class workforce. This recognition is well-deserved and a testament to her leadership and dedication.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her role as CFO, Wickens is responsible for financial decision support, fiscal services, health plan services, managed care contracting, strategic financial planning and budget, benchmarking, reimbursement, revenue cycle, tax and treasury services. She also co-leads Parkview\u2019s population health, employer and transformation-to-value strategies. Furthermore, as a member of Parkview\u2019s executive leadership, she serves as a strategic financial advisor to the executive team and the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her tenure as CFO, Wickens created multi-disciplinary \u201cdiamond teams\u201d to focus on Parkview\u2019s goals of safety and quality, service excellence, financial and human resources, and growth. She guided Parkview through the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and helped keep the system resilient in 2022, one of the nation\u2019s worst financial years for healthcare.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
