This is the song that is playing on my pocket phone this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’ve got one more River to Cross<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One more mountain to climb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One more valley that I got to go through<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m leaving my troubles behind<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One more battle with the devil and I know he’ll under- stand<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m going through with Jesus hallelujah holding his nail scarred hand”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last night my wife had a massive heart attack, completely unexpected. She is in fairly good health, is quite thin, and not the type you think that would have a heart attack. She was brought back to life by the Grabill EMTs and sometimes one wonders if life is worth the effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Christian faith helps us to believe that if she is still here<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God has something for her to do. She is the type of person that God would like to have up in heaven with him. We know life will be a struggle, and all we can do is rely upon Jesus to see us through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time of year we think about Jesus’ death. “If it be possible take this cup from me, if not, thy will be done.I promised her dad that I would take care of her, and I so hate to see her suffer. I haven\u2019t always done a good job when I could. I saw her go limp and prayed that God’s will be done if he wish to take her or bring her back. She is my reason for living, and I hope to take care of her as long as I can, and I know she will try to take care of me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’ve climbed a lot of high mountains, crossed a lot of little streams,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But when I see old Jordan cold and dark it’ll be there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 3, 2022, my wife’s heart stopped. She was resuscitated by the EMS. April 30, 2023 I left MlCU. Life has been precious for both of us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
