He began teaching in 1957 at Harlan. He retired in 1997 from East Allen Schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tonight, January 28th, EACS recognized Strautman\u2019s lifelong achievements in a special ceremony before the Woodlan varsity boys game.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also recognized was Mike Swing. Swing played for Harlan High School under Elmer Strautman.
