PAULDING \u2013 The Paulding Panthers used the three-point field goal to nip visiting Wauseon 52-51 Thursday night in non-league boys basketball action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulding hit 13 three-point field goals in the contest as a team, led by six from Peyton Adams, as the maroon and white improved to 5-4 overall on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Panthers led 13-9 at the end of eight minutes of action before visiting Wauseon rallied to post a 26-20 halftime advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulding then answered in the third quarter, putting up 21 points compared to 14 for the Indians, as the Panthers seized a 41-40 lead going into the final stanza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each squad then scored 11 more points in the fourth quarter as Paulding held on to take the 52-51 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peyton Adams hit six three-point field goals in the contest to lead the way with 18 points while Ethan Foltz added a trio of treys in adding 13 markers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke Zartman, Casey Agler, Nick Manz and Kane Jones also hit three-point field goals for Paulding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manz recorded six points to aid the Panther cause with Zartman and Agler finishing with five apiece. Jones also had three points for Paulding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landon Hines and Jack Leatherman each paced Wauseon with a dozen markers each and Tyson Rodriguez chipped in ten points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other scorers for the Indians were Jude Armstrong (seven), Trey Parsons (five) and Elijah McLeod (five).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
