HAVILAND – Last Friday the Wayne Trace Raiders had the opportunity to draw even in the Green Meadows Conference.\u00a0 Unfortunately for the red, white, and blue a combination of the Raider offense not showing up and\u00a0Tinora recording two first quarter touch downs — it was that was needed for the Rams to sneak past the Raiders 13-6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the win the Rams improve their overall mark to 4-2 and 2-1 in the GMC. For the Raiders, missed opportunities and mistakes, moves the Raiders to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offensively, Wayne Trace managed just 91 total yards of offense. Quarterback Cole Morehead threw for 83 yards on 12-18 and two interceptions. Tucker Antoine collected five passes with Derrek Dangler, Ezra Sinn and Race Price each hauling in two grabs each. Morehead also accounted for eight-yards rushing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lone Raider score came in the second quarter with 3:47 showing on the clock when junior Landon Foltz picked up a blocked punt and returned it 23-yards for a Raider touchdown. With the special teams coming up with the score the Raiders trailed 13-6 but there would be no scoring in the second by either squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tinora’s first touchdown came on a 28-yard drive on seven plays. The Ram’s capped off their first touchdown when quarterback Gavin Eckert found the endzone on a one-yard scamper. The extra point by Jacob Bishop was good and the Rams were on top 7-0 with 4:47 remaining in the first quarter. The sluggish offensive play by the Raiders quickly turned the ball back over the Rams who would again take advantage. From the Raider’s 41-yard line the Rams marched down the field. A key play during the drive came when Dominik Graziani connected with Brandon Edwards for a 33-yard TD strike to increase the Rams advantage 13-0, still in the first quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the contest Tinora managed 165 yards of offense with Edwards totaling 79 rushing yards on 18 totes along with 30 receiving yards on just two receptions. Dallas Dachenhaus added 30-yards on the ground on 11 attempts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
