(Councilman Rice \u2013 Absent)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Chief Duhamell \u2013 Woodburn Police Department responded to 79 calls in July. WPD Reserves worked 58.,5 hours during July. Many of our reserve officers were present for the Day in the Park event, no major problems were noted. WPD Reserves will have 4 hours of computer training this coming Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Audience \u2013 Resident questioned Mayors 30% raise. Resident wondered if it was in the budget. Treasurer explained that it is in the budget for 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Wessler \u2013 IDEM has approved disinfection for sewer issue. They presented a contract to do the engineering for the project $15,000. Councilman Abbott made a motion to approve the contract and take the money out of the Sewer operating fund. Councilman Renner 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> the motion, all approved, motion carried.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Mayor \u2013 AEP did not have a left truck that would go up 70\u2019 to help repair the siren. Mayor contacted MaCalister and they have a lift that will go 80\u2019 for $575. Mayor will coordinate for next Monday. Sunview and Ash need street repairs, mayor will get prices to know what we\u2019re looking at. Chamber is getting quotes for signage @ the Industrial Park. There is a customer interested in our industrial park and after a closed session discussion a vote was necessary to proceed further. Councilman Renner made a motion to lease the land for $1.00 a year with buy out at end of 15 years. Councilman Gerig 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">, all approved motion carried. Councilman Gerig will be handling the ADA compliance. Mayor instructed all councilmen to look at their districts for ADA compliance on curb crossings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Treasurer &#8211; Meeting minutes were presented, Mayor made a correction, Councilman Voirol made a motion to approve as corrected, Councilman Gerig 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">, all approved, motion carried. Warrants were presented Councilman Abbott made a motion to approve, Councilman Voirol 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> all approved, motion carried. Prepaid warrants were presented for signatures. Councilman Abbott made a motion to have the 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> reading of G-13-1306 Appointed Employees Salaries by title only, Councilman Gerig 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">, all approved, motion carried. All approved to adopt. Councilman Gerig made a motion to have the third and final reading of Ordinance G-13-1306 by title only, Councilman Abbott 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">, all approved, motion carried., All approved to adopt. Councilman Abbott made a motion to have the 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> reading of G-13-1307 by title only (elected officials salaries) Councilman Voirol 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">, all approved motion carried. After the 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> reading Councilman Voirol made a motion to amend G-13-1307 to reflect a 10% raise for the Mayor, 5% for Treasurer and 5% for Council. No second was made to the motion so the motion died. Vote was then taken on the 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> reading and all approved. Councilman Abbott wanted it noted in the meeting minutes that at this point in time he has no desire to run for mayor, this salary adjustment is what he feels is just for the duties and responsibility that come with the position of Mayor of the City of Woodburn. Councilman Abbott made a motion to have the 3<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">rd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> reading by title only of Ordinance G-13-1307 Elected Officials Salaries, Councilman Gerig 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">, all approved, motion carried. Councilman Abbott made a motion to pass Ordinance G-13-1307, Councilman Voirol 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> all approved, motion carried. Superintendent Walls presented drawings for relining sewer lines on Stenger and for manholes that need fixed. He would also like to repair line on Gustin Road that has a leak where water enters the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Councilman Abbott \u2013 Would like an updated ordinance pages. Treasurer explained the codification process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Councilman Rice &#8211; Absent<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Councilman Renner \u2013 No Report<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Councilman Gerig \u2013 An estimate to cut down a tree on Core street for $300 was received from Ellis. Councilman Renner made a motion to have Ellis do the work, Councilman Voirol 2<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> all approved, motion carried. Councilman Gerig also brought up that someone had been dumping personal property into the roll off container at the compost site.
