{"id":33865,"date":"2021-10-10T08:16:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-10T12:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/?p=33865"},"modified":"2021-10-05T10:17:29","modified_gmt":"2021-10-05T14:17:29","slug":"parson-to-person-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/parson-to-person-15\/","title":{"rendered":"PARSON TO PERSON"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By: Dr. James Bachman<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Dear Parson<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What is it referring to in the Lord\u2019s Prayer (Matthew 6:10), where it says, \u201cThy kingdom come?\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The word \u201ckingdom\u201d indicates a realm that is ruled by a king. In God\u2019s kingdom, the king is Jesus Christ. Revelation 17:14 \u2013 \u201cThese shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are, as I see it, three aspects to the kingdom of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 The first aspect is the present kingdom. Jesus said to Pilate in John 18:36, \u201cMy kingdom is not of this world.\u201d In Luke 17:21 Jesus said, \u201c\u2026the kingdom of God is within you.\u201d Right now those who have received the King Jesus Christ into their lives as their Saviour are the only citizens of the kingdom. The more that get saved, and the more saved who become surrendered, the more God\u2019s kingdom grows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u2022 The future aspect is the millennial (1,000 year) reign of Christ on this earth. This is most likely the one referred to in the Lord\u2019s Prayer where born-again believers shall rule and reign with Him. Zechariah 14:9 \u2013 \u201cAnd the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.\u201d II Timothy 2:12 \u2013 \u201cIf we suffer, we shall also reign with him: If we deny him, he also will deny us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 The final aspect is where in the new heaven and the new earth (Revelation 21:1) He shall reign forever and ever. Luke 1:33 \u2013 \u201cAnd he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.\u201d Hebrews 1:8 \u2013 \u201cBut unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Satan also has a kingdom. Matthew 12:26 \u2013 \u201cAnd if Satan cast out Satan.
