At Saturday\u2019s big Event for Paulding County was the Antwerp Day in the Park, there were lots of winners! Giveaways all day long kept people at the fair event that took place in Antwerp\u2019s Riverside Park. The day was absolutely beautiful from the time of the Turtle Trot to the parade starting, to the taking down of the tents at the end of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 50-50 winner was Vern Laukhuf and won $258.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cutie Pie Contest winner was Marcus Friend. Over $760 was raised for the Chamber Scholarship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Antwerp Rotary Club announced the winner of the kayak at 3 pm. Barry DeLong announced the winner – John Dudley<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Parade float winner was announced as the Genesis House. The Genesis House gets the traveling trophy for the year, accepted by Darci Hopkins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gem of the year was Laurel Hopkins who thanked everyone for their support and stated it was the people in this community who makes things possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The West Bend News was told by the food vendors that many had sold out! The cheerleaders\u2019 Dunk Tank raised nearly $500 for the program! Not to mention to see the infamous Drew Altimus be in the tank!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
