Mr. Godeke is a master\u2019s student of history at Bowling Green State University and will present his recent thesis-related research paper A Lost Paradise: Leisure on the Banks of Six Mile Reservoir. This paper paints a picture of Six Mile Reservoir that is often overlooked and argues that Antwerp\u2019s residents (and non-residents alike) enjoyed Six Mile Reservoir\u2019s presence to some extent, despite its shortcomings of foul smell and being a mosquito breeding haven. Among other factors, those shortcomings would help lead to \u2018war\u2019 to destroy what other locals deemed to be a useless relic of the Wabash &amp; Erie Canal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t miss this interesting program being presented by the John Paulding Historical Society.&nbsp; It\u2019s free and open to the public.&nbsp; Refreshments will be served afterwards.
