{"id":32274,"date":"2021-03-24T16:30:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T20:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/?p=32274"},"modified":"2021-03-23T18:40:43","modified_gmt":"2021-03-23T22:40:43","slug":"bssa-information-from-sheriff-landers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/bssa-information-from-sheriff-landers\/","title":{"rendered":"BSSA Information From Sheriff Landers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Sheriff-landers.jpg?w=800&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12239\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Some Paulding County residents will be soon receiving a letter in the mail signed by me.&nbsp; This request is from the Buckeye State Sheriffs\u2019 Association (BSSA) attempting to seek new associate members.&nbsp; I am a proud member of this Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I feel it is imperative to communicate with our citizens and let you all know this is not a scam.&nbsp; The BSSA will only request for memberships using this system, and only with my approval.&nbsp; The Association does not contact prospective members by telephone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In November, 2020, I was voted to serve as the Treasurer for the BSSA by my colleagues across the state.&nbsp; I am now serving my 8th consecutive year on the Board of Directors.&nbsp; I also sit on the Legislative, Civil Process, Carry Concealed Weapons, Education &amp; Training, DARE\/SRO, Image Enhancing and Community Corrections Committees for the Association.&nbsp; I feel by committing myself to these assignments, I can better serve you by having a working knowledge of what is coming out of Columbus through our association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds collected by the BSSA using this membership drive directly affect my office.&nbsp; Our Association will continue to have the resources necessary through education to advance my office into the ever-changing world we all live in.&nbsp; I urge you all to consider becoming an associate member of this fabulous organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My office is committed to making our neighborhoods a safe place to live.&nbsp; It is imperative we seek progress to reduce the negative influences crime has on our children and to help safeguard the elderly.&nbsp; Through your financial contribution to this associate member program, my office will continue to receive the training and guidance necessary to move forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact the Association at 800-589-2772 or by mail at 1103 Schrock Road, Suite 401, Columbus, Ohio 43229.&nbsp; Explore my office website at www.pauldingohsheriff.com and click on the BSSA video to learn more about the Office of Sheriff. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, you can contact my office and ask for me directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2013Jason K.
