{"id":31159,"date":"2020-11-29T19:16:01","date_gmt":"2020-11-30T00:16:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/?p=31159"},"modified":"2020-11-29T19:16:06","modified_gmt":"2020-11-30T00:16:06","slug":"mary-louise-mabis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/mary-louise-mabis\/","title":{"rendered":"Mary Louise Mabis"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mary Louise Mabis, 89, of Anterp passed away at Vancrest of Payne, Saturday, November 28, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"318\" height=\"318\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/MARY-LOU-Mabis.jpg?resize=318%2C318&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31160\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/MARY-LOU-Mabis.jpg?w=318&amp;ssl=1 318w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/MARY-LOU-Mabis.jpg?resize=260%2C260&amp;ssl=1 260w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/MARY-LOU-Mabis.jpg?resize=160%2C160&amp;ssl=1 160w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Lou was born in Hicksville on June 21, 1931, to the late Ila (Saylor) and Dearl Singleton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She always made her family top priority, taking pride in her children and loved being a grandmother always making sure to keep a snack drawer ready when they would come to visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Lou &amp; her husband Bob operated &nbsp;M &amp; B Lawn &amp; Garden for many years from their home. &nbsp;She worked alongside Bob and became the parts manager, bookkeeper, and head go-for the business. The knowledge that she gained from this business lead her into a job at C &amp; C Distributor in Ft Wayne Indiana for a number of years after M &amp; B closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She will be sadly missed by her children, Tylene (Bill) Boylan, Twila (Gary) Demongeot, &amp; Rick (Nancy) Mabis; siblings, Betty Singleton &amp; Shirley Miller; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grand children; &amp; 4 great great grandchildren with 1 more on the way!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bob, whom she married in 1950, &amp; siblings, Richard Singleton, Carolyn Wann, Vada Singleton, Genevieve Baumgart, Mollie Thompson, Max Singleton, &amp; Barbara Miller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Lou&#8217;s service is Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10:30 AM with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St., Antwerp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to state mandate, guests must wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing, and refrain from contact to keep everyone safe while participating in Mary Lou&#8217;s viewing and funeral service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She will be laid to rest at Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memorials are to the American Cancer Society or Paulding County Dog Kennel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fond memories may be shared at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/dooleyfuneralhome.com\/\">dooleyfuneralhome.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mary Louise Mabis, 89, of Anterp passed away at Vancrest of Payne, Saturday, November 28, 2020.
