This Easter is certainly one for the history books. No going to the mall for pictures with the Easter Bunny; no getting dressed up in your Sunday best for church; no going to grandmas for an Easter egg hunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though age old traditions were shattered for this year\u2019s holiest of holidays, several communities made new traditions that will be remembered for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. & Mrs. Bunny drove through some of the streets in Payne to visit children to keep their social distance.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Churches have stepped up their game to tend to their flocks during this time of crises and it shined even brighter on this year\u2019s Resurrection Sunday. From drive through services with communion, to Facebook live and video streaming — all who were seeking some Hope this past weekend were sure to find it. The messages were all of one mind — \u201cMy Hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus\u2019 name.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Easter Bunny came before first light on Easter to the children of Antwerp and left eggs in their front yards for them to find. So many ecstatic children raided their yards as soon as they woke & saw their front lawns sprinkled with the telltale bright colored eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Payne, the Easter Bunny made a public appearance with Mrs. Bunny. They paraded in their vehicle to downtown Payne to visit children there. They did a little strolling of the streets in Payne to say \u201cHi\u201d to the children of the neighborhood \u2013 making sure to keep their distance, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the fine wise words of Dr. Seuss, I will modify, a quote of the Grinch\u2019s to fit this year\u2019s Easter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018Maybe Easter,\u2019 the Grinch thought, \u2018doesn\u2019t come from a store. Maybe Easter \u2026 perhaps\u2026 means a little bit more?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you stayed in, did a window visit, a drive thru church service, a live stream service, saw the evidence of the Easter Bunny, Easter 2020 will definitely not be long forgotten.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
