Rager<\/strong>, of Paulding, age 93, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Vancrest Nursing Home, Payne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery alignright columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"318\" height=\"422\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Alice-Rager-Pic.jpg?resize=318%2C422&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"27459\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/2019\/11\/12\/alice-i-rager\/alice-rager-pic\/\" class=\"wp-image-27459\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Alice-Rager-Pic.jpg?w=318&amp;ssl=1 318w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Alice-Rager-Pic.jpg?resize=260%2C345&amp;ssl=1 260w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Alice-Rager-Pic.jpg?resize=160%2C212&amp;ssl=1 160w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born in Paulding County on June 27, 1926 daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Buchheit) Wilhelm.&nbsp; On October 4, 1944 she married Glenn E. Rager who preceded her in death on December 25, 2008.&nbsp; She was a very active member of Paulding Church of the Nazarene and a charter member of the \u201cKnow Your Neighbor Club\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is survived by her children:&nbsp; Laura Durre, David (Mary) Rager, Mark (Amy) Rager, all of Paulding, and Nancy (Brooks) Myers, Tuscaloosa, AL; son-in-law, Don Terry, Roscommon, MI; brother, Karl Wilhelm, Leo, IN; sister, Dorothy Littlejohn, Fort Wayne, IN; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alice is also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Terry; son-in-law, James P. Durre; granddaughter Ashlee Dawn Rager; brothers, Peter, Kenneth and Justus Wilhelm; and sisters, Helen Steele, and Marie Grostephan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, November 16 at the Paulding Church of the Nazarene.&nbsp; She will be laid to rest in Paulding Memorial Cemetery, Paulding, Ohio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitation was 3 \u2013 7 PM Friday, November 15 at the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.&nbsp; There will also be visitation on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To honor Alice\u2019s wishes in lieu of flowers and funeral items such as throws, chimes, etc., the family wishes donations made to the Vancrest Nursing Home of Payne Activity Fund.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online condolences may be sent to www.denherderfh.com<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alice I.
