The Maumee Valley Antique Steam & Gas Association 42nd<\/sup> Annual Show will be held August 15-18, 2019 at Jefferson Township Park, east of New Haven, Indiana between U.S. 30 and U.S. 24 at 1720 Webster Road just north of Dawkins Road. It is a fun show for the entire family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featured are John Deere and Massey-Harris, Massey Ferguson and Wallis tractors and equipment with a Special Feature of Wheel Horse Garden Tractors and all other brands of Garden Tractors. All exhibitors of antique tractors, cars and trucks are welcome and will get free admission when registering at the office. There will be threshing wheat, sawing lumber and plowing with tractors and steam engines. The 15 ton, 125 HP Buckeye Oil Engine that came from the elevator at Grabill, IN and the Chuse stationary steam engine from the Hicksville, Ohio Handle Factory will also be running.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will daily demonstrations by The Indiana Chapter of the Maumee Valley Blacksmiths. Don\u2019t forget the flea market, Trading Post and a large quilt display.  Paulding-Putnam Electric will give special demonstrations on Friday at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on \u201cThe Danger of Electricity\u201d. Children can ride the Barrel Train and play in the sand box or take a tractor driving lesson. On Saturday, a clown will entertain, a Kiddie Tractor Pull will be held at 2:00 p.m. and there will be an Exotic Animal Show at 3:00 p.m. Parades will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Free hay rides and demonstrations with horses and mules will be on Friday and Saturday. Antique tractor pulls will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and start at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food: Fish dinners on Friday; and Chicken and Pork Steak dinners on Saturday will be served in the pavilion. There are many other varieties of food vendors on the grounds including delicious steamed sweet corn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live entertainment: Friday \u2013 The Jug Huffer Band, 5:00-7:00 p.m.; The American Legion Band (Playing Songs of the 60\u2019s) 7:30-9:30 p.m.; Saturday \u2013 Applejack Kloggers, 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m.; Appalachian Mountain Music, 5:00-7:00 p.m.; Scott Brother\u2019s Band, 7:30-9:30 p.m. (sponsored by Midwest Tile & Concrete Products). There are steam engine fireworks (a Spark Show) Friday and Saturday after the entertainment. Sunday Church Service at 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 765 Nickle Plate Road Steam Train Museum is having an open house next door Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
