Let me tell you about him, and I am pretty sure I am right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About 10 or 11 years ago we saw that first eagle nest just east of the park across the river. They continued to thrive and raised a pair of young every year and I, for one, kept a good eye on that nest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then one winter, their nest blew down in a bad wind storm and they rebuilt it at once in the same location, but it didn\u2019t last long, as it blew down again in another bad wind storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone kept a good eye on that area and in a few weeks an eagle\u2019s nest appeared across the river from Steve Derck\u2019s. I have talked to a number of people and we think that nest and the adult eagle in the picture are the adults from down by the park.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am pretty sure of all of this. I understand an eagle\u2019s life is about 18-20 years and this pair are getting close to that age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, I sure enjoy seeing them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See ya!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By: Stan Jordan In this picture is not just any old eagle.
