National Hospital Week 2019 celebrates hope and healing, and the hospitals, health systems, and the women and men who support the health and well-being of their communities through dedication and care from the heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating National Hospital Week provides an opportunity to thank all of the dedicated individuals \u2013 physicians, nurses, therapists, engineers, food service workers, volunteers, administrators and so many more \u2013 for their contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulding County Hospital was participating as well with their new CEO Ron Goedde! Each day of the week Ron with Kyle Mawer, COO, head of Nursing, preparing meals and helping to recognize all of their employees (which number 225), volunteers, contributors and their 8 board members. Previously, they would hold a week for a certain group of healthcare workers, but there would always be some left out. This way they can recognize everyone! At other hospitals in which Ron has served,  they also participated in National Hospital Week and he brought this to Paulding County now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The five day event kicked off on Monday, May 13 with BBQ chicken followed by a Ice Cream Sundae Bar on Tuesday. Sheet cakes were prepared on Wednesday, and Donuts on Thursday. The big day was Friday with grilling hamburgers and brats for the staff and visitors! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday the hospital also recognized their staff and had giveaways that included grills, coolers, and lots of other handy household items!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulding County Hospital is a unique facility for the area as Ron stated they could handle just about any treatments that may be needed for the residents. PCH only sends out about 2% of their patients that they cannot treat effectively and have connections to the larger hospitals to make sure that every patient gets the best and most optimal treatment available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with recognizing their staff for National Hospital Week, Ron also wants the community to know that the Fitness Centers in both Paulding and Antwerp have expanded their hours to 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., 7 days a week. This makes it much easier to still get your excise in even when the weather is not cooperating!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
