The Van Wert Elks Lodge sponsors this contest every year for students in grades 5-8. Students from Mrs. Wilder\u2019s 5th-grade and Mr. Wilhelm\u2019s 6th-grade classes were given the opportunity to participate in this contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong> This years topic was \u201cWhy are you proud of America?\u201d Luke Stouffer placed first in the 5th and 6th-grade category, while Allison Noggle placed third. Their essays will be sent to a committee at the district level where they will compete against other local lodge winners.
