\"\"<\/a>North Western Electric Cooperative and Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative are launching the #WhoPowersYou Contest to recognize and reward cooperative community volunteers. #WhoPowersYou is in partnership with America\u2019s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and is a national contest among electric co-ops to promote volunteerism.<\/p>\n

Both George Carter and Darin Thorp, CEOs for Paulding Putnam Electric and North Western Electric Cooperative respectively, know it\u2019s more than just electricity that powers communities \u2013 it\u2019s volunteers. This contest is a chance for co-op members and co-op employees to nominate someone making a difference and empowering their local communities. Both co-ops celebrate the power of human connections.<\/p>\n

The best part? Nominees could win up to $5,000. All prizes total $9,000, with the grand prize winner receiving $5,000. Second place wins $2,000, third place collects $1,500, and an honorable mention receives $500.<\/p>\n

Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to nominate someone by November 4, 2018. (Only electric cooperative members and employees are eligible to make nominations.)<\/p>\n
