WOODBURN – Reggie Blackman ran for 191 yards on 27 carries and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Woodlan Warriors past visiting Heritage 33-14 in the ACAC opener for both schools Friday night.<\/p>\n

Blackman scooted 11 yards in the first quarter and plunged one-yard in the fourth quarter to wrap up the game\u2019s scoring and help raise Woodlan\u2019s record to 1-2 on the season.<\/p>\n

Isaac Meyer opened the game\u2019s scoring with a seven-yard scamper for a score that put Woodlan on top 6-0.<\/p>\n

After Blackman\u2019s 11-yard touchdown run widened the Warrior lead to 13-0 after one quarter, Heritage\u2019s Connor Ray got the Patriots on the scoreboard with a four-yard run for a score that pulled the Patriots within 13-7.<\/p>\n

Quarterback Ben Reidy tossed a 14-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Wallace as Woodlan extended the lead to 20-7.<\/p>\n

The Warriors then widened the gap to 27-7 at the intermission after a 22-yard scoring strike from Reidy to Jack Stuckey.<\/p>\n

Heritage pulled within 27-14 in the third quarter on a 55-yard pass from Parker Tracey to Cameron Mitchell.<\/p>\n

However, Woodlan then wrapped up the game\u2019s scoring with Blackman\u2019s one-yard plunge to set the final margin at 33-14.<\/p>\n

Reidy finished 6 of 15 through the air for 57 yards and added 50 yards rushing on seven carries. Stuckey picked up three receptions for 43 yards.<\/p>\n

Dirk Herschberger led Woodlan with 13 tackles while Dane Castleman and Meyer both picked up 11 stops. Dan Herschberger and Keegan Jones added ten and eight tackles, respectively.<\/p>\n

Hunter Bradtmueller ran for 108 yards on 22 carries for the Patriots, who fall to 0-3 on the season. Tracey was 8 of 22 through the air for 128 yards with Mitchell recording three receptions for 50 yards.<\/p>\n

Woodlan will visit Bluffton in ACAC action on Friday while Heritage will welcome in South Adams that same evening.<\/p>\n
