Sample Dean of Agriculture challenged a dozen Indiana high school students to \u201cfind their passion and pursue it.\u201d Plaut officially welcomed only 20 students from around the State to participate into the field of research during a week at Purdue University as participants in the Pre-College Molecular Agriculture Summer Institute (MASI) during the month of June. Evy Spieth, junior at Woodlan High School was selected as one of the 20!<\/p>\n<p>This program was created by Purdue Agriculture\u2019s Office of Academic Programs as part of the Institute for Plant Sciences initiative. Students work alongside Purdue Agriculture faculty exploring the wide-ranging field of plant sciences and STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and math).<\/p>\n<p>Participating in this program allows high school students work alongside Purdue researchers to see how they are looking for real life solutions to real life problems.<\/p>\n<p>Way to go Evy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Karen Plaut, Purdue\u2019s Glenn W.
