Saturday, August 11th early a.m., 52 year old Con Shuherk of Payne, OH was badly injured when a car he was working on at his home fell and resulted in a multi pelvic fractures.<\/p>\n
It seems everyone in Paulding Co. & area knows Con, his wife Ann, family Alysa Saylor, Dustin, Brandon, Emily Spangler and their families. An Antwerp High School graduate, Con entered the US Coast Guard right out of high school and trained as a mechanic and EMT. After serving 8 years, the family soon returned to N.W. Ohio and he continued as an EMT for both Payne and Paulding until stepping down recently. Others know him from working for Stykmain Chevrolet Dealership in Paulding.<\/p>\n
Con will be many weeks in a wheelchair and a lot of physical therapy. Many family and friends have come together and established a fund to build a deck\/ramp at his residence. It is shaping up to be what looks like an \u201cOle time barn raising\u201d event on Saturday, August 18th.<\/p>\n
