\"\"This year\u2019s Mihsihkinaahkwa Pow Wow will offer both an educational and cultural event.\u00a0 <\/span>We will start the week end with Adam Strack and Mike Mowry on Friday evening, August, 10th. This is a concert with Adam and Mike singing with guitar accompaniment. It will be an entertaining evening for all in attendance. Start time is 7:00 p.m. with gates opening at 5:00 p.m., so there is time to enjoy a buffalo burger and visit our 38 vendors before the concert. Soarin\u2019 Hawk will be in the family tent from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. They will have demonstrations with their birds of prey.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>August 11 \u2013 The Pow Wow is open from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On-going events both Saturday and Sunday \u2013 38 vendors with Native American products and crafts, as well as traditional food favorites, such as buffalo burgers and fry bread. Stop by the Kennedy\u2019s booth and watch Ken make arrow heads by flint knapping. Visit the family tent with scheduled demonstrations in the afternoon.\u00a0 <\/span>Soarin\u2019 Hawk will be with us from 10:00 a.m. \u2013 12:00 Noon. Adam Strack will perform at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Bid at the silent auction for that special gift or try your luck for a Pendleton blanket, all under the information tent.<\/p>\n

GRAND ENTRY \u2013 dancers in regalia enter the arena at 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.\u00a0 <\/span>Watch the dancers feet, when the MC announces everybody dance, you are invited into the arena to dance along with the dancers-fun for all ages.<\/p>\n

August 12 \u2013 The gates open at 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with grand entry at 12:00 Noon. We will have a benefit auction at 10:00 a.m. all proceeds go to the scholarship fund. Adam Strack will perform at 11:30 a.m. if time permits. \u201cChildrens Day\u201d will be from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Face painting, rock painting, crafts, games-in the family tent.<\/p>\n

We bring an event steeped in the history and traditions of our ancestors. It is an educational and fun experience for the entire family. Dancing and singing is a feature of this traditional pow wow, as Native dancers from all over the United States come to participate and renew friendships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Parking is free; there is handicap parking available.<\/p>\n
