On Friday John Paulding Days started with a Senior Center Luncheon and then Shop the Square took place starting at noon. The parade began at 7:00 p.m. and lasted for an hour with all of the veterans being honored first as part of the Honorary Grand Marshal presentation. Following that, was all kinds of floats passing by filled with people throwing candies. Businesses and organizations from all over the area presented their services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the parade, downtown was opened up to the food vendors and the band, Brother Believe Me.<\/p>\n

The Revolutionary 5K had over 50 participants. More pictures at westbendnews.net<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Theresa Stoller organized the Revolutionary Run 5K with Mikayla Pieper that started on Saturday morning early. Clint Vance, Ed Bohn, Dave Burtch and several others were there on hand to make sure the event went well. The 5K started about 8:30 a.m. and had over 50 participants who ended up running through the fairgrounds and back again by the old Masonic building where the race started. There was blue and red \u201csmoke\u201d flying through the air in this Revolutionary Run. 1st place for ages 18 and under was Dayton Price. 1st place for ages 19-30 was Tyler Reese. 1st place for ages 31 and over was Alan Miller.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day there were other events including Bingo and the Junk Food Alley. The Old Jail tours is always a hit on South Williams Street!<\/p>\n

As evening came around, the Cruise-In sponsored by Solid Ground took place and then the Main Stage entertainment also began with Liberty Rose as the main band!<\/p>\n

Fireworks concluded the clear, dark night, lighting up the sky and the courthouse. The fireworks over the last few years has been a big hit! You know it was good if by the end car alarms start going off from the force of the explosions!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
